The Colorado Association of Robbery Investigators (CARI) has three main purposes:
- Host the annual National Robbery Conference (NRC);
- Host monthly meetings of robbery investigators from the Front Range Metroplex;
- Provide crime prevention information and guidance to retail businesses, financial institutions and the general public.
National Robbery Conference
The NRC includes representatives from agencies throughout the United States as well as Canada and Australia. The conference is instrumental in building the necessary cross-jurisdictional camaraderie needed to investigate suspects that travel not only from city to city but from state to state, as well as providing attendees with new investigative techniques, strategies, legal updates, major case analysis and information on current robbery patterns.
The 2022 Conference will be held June 8th – 10th, 2022, at the Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail, Colorado. To register for the conference, submit a speaking proposal, get information on sponsorships or to place yourself on the conference notification list, select one of the buttons below.

Monthly Meetings
CARI members meet monthly to exchange offense, pattern and suspect information. Meetings are voluntarily hosted by agencies and businesses throughout the Denver Metro area and the Front Range Metroplex. Meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. See the calendar at right for locations and dates of future meetings.
